The Imperial War Museum is one of the top museums in London. It has a unique remit of covering all conflicts the Commonwealth countries have been involved with since World War One. It is free to enter the main exhibition. The museum has a large range of resources and archives available to the public. It also runs special exhibits for which there may be a charge. Founded in 1920, the museum was originally located in Kensington, later it was moved to the present site: formerly the Bethlem Hospital for the insane also known as 'Bedlam'. The museum is located on the corner of St. George's Road and Lambeth Road. Opening times: Open daily (except 24, 25 and 26 December) 10.00am - 6.00pm
